Biografía

Laura Sam (1989, Murcia) has been living in Bilbao for twelve years and graduated from Fine Arts in 2012. Her work is related to writing, oral poetry and music. She's the founder of the Festival of Oral Poetry and Living Arts. As an author, she often attends festivals, recitals, national and international meetings as a guest. In 2023 she was invited to Rock al Parque (Bogotá), one of the most important free festivals in Latin America. Along with the vocal poet's career, Laura Sam works in the musical field, and in 2022 she released the album "La voz en contra" with musician Juan Escribano (We Are Standard) with the label Oso Polita. She has collaborated with musicians like Kase O, Abraham Boba (Leon Benavente), Briela Ojeda or Nacho Vegas. In addition to her profile as a stage artist, she collaborates with institutions such as the Bilbao Museum of Fine Arts, Tabakalera or the Rekalde Hall, among others, with the oral poetry workshop "The Physical Poem". She has published two poem books: Incendiaria (Arrebato Libros) and Géiser (Editorial Ya lo dijo Casimiro Parker).
