Biografía
He began his training as an actor at the Barcelona Theatre School, combining his studies with the Rogelio Rivel circus school, where he focused on clowning and acrosport. He continued his training at a number of theatre schools, such as Atalata TNT, the International Theatre Research Centre of Seville, working with such figures as Griffell, Leo Bassi and Roberta Carreri. He finally graduated in Dramatic Art of the Barcelona Theatre Institute, specialising in Physical-Visual Theatre. He added dance to his training background, working with Andrés Corchero, Pere Gené and Moreno Bernardi, and with Nikolaj Karpov explored in greater depth the laws of biomechanics for actors. His interests led him in pursuit of new challenges, venturing into the Fighting Monkey technique with Jozef Frucek & Linda Kapetanea. Stage fighting is one of his passions, and he has trained in such varied disciplines as hand-to-hand stage combat, fencing, stage fencing, sword and dagger fighting and stage knife fighting, with Ricard Pous and Ángel Plana. Notable highlights of his professional career include his time at the Bojum Teatre company directed by Montse Bonet, with the show "Masticació" by P. Kermann. He worked on “Des-Variaciones Goldberg” by David Fernández; "Cemento" by H. Müller, directed by Stéphane Lévy; "M.U.R.S." by the company La Fura dels Baus, on tour through Europe and South America, and “Carillò”, by the company La Tal. He has also worked as a dancer and actor at the Gran Teatro del Liceo and Teatro Real, under such directors as D. McVicard, D. Tcherniakov, Lluís Pascual and Mario Gas. Notable recent works include "Manes" by the company La Fura dels Baus, which had its international première in Eindhoven. He has moved into stage direction on a number of occasions, in particular as the movement director for the opera "Carmen" by G. Bizet at the Kursaal in San Sebastian, under the theatrical direction of Ekaitz Unai González. He has directed a number of shows for Port Aventura, and the Flexus Teatre company in Tarragona. Alongside Estitxu Zaldua, he is the co-founder of the company RubiK, in the role of director and performer. Aside from his work for his own company, the currently also works for the international companies La Tal and La Fura dels Baus. In his pursuit of a more daring and personal way of making theatre, he has ventured into the world of teaching, delivering Physical Theatre and Stage Fighting workshops for a number of schools nationwide.
