Biografía
Born in Zaragoza, he began his professional career as a dancer at the Jeune Ballet de France in Paris, in 1995. In 1996 he joined the Ballet de Zaragoza, where he remained until July 2005 with the category of Semi-soloist. In August the same year he joined the Ballet Magdeburg as Soloist, remaining there until 2009. During his professional career he has performed roles in over 60 works, most notably as a soloist and principal in works from both the classical and neoclassical repertoires, including Paquita, El Pájaro Azuland Act III of Raymonda, M. Petipa; Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Who Cares?and Allegro Brillante, by G. Ballanchine; Les Patineurs, by Sir F. Ashton; Cascanueces, by Armando Jorge; Giselle by J. Corali and J. Perrot in the versions by A. Argüelles/R. Castellanos and by O. Ilieva; El Corsario Pas de Deuxand Diana y Acteón, by A. Vaganova/V. Chabukiani; Llamas de París, by V. Vainonen; Festival de las Flores de Genzano, by A. Bournonville; and Aguas de Primavera, by A. Messerer. He has also performed in works with contemporary choreographers in a wide range of styles, including the main or soloist parts in Woyzeckand Broken Skin, by Davide Bombana; Ginkgo, by Mónica Runde; Purcell Pieces, by Nils Christe; Bella Domna, by Patrick de Bana; Three Poems, by Sir Derek Deane; Reflejos del Pensador, by Myriam Agar; Blizzard in the Moon, by Jean Christophe Blavier; in Requiem, Cantus Perpetuus, Dorn, Cenicientaand Russische Rapsodieby Gonzalo Galguera; Don Juan, by Olaf Schmidt; Kanyengueand Nómadas, by Patsy Kuppe-Mat; Carmina Buranaby Mauro Galindo; and in the corps de ballet in works by Robert North, Harold Keane, Luc Bouy, Paolo Mohovich and Mauro Galindo. During his professional career he has been a guest Soloist at the Ballet del Mediterráneo in Madrid, directed by Fernando Bujones, in 1996; at the Centro de Dança do Porto, Portugal, in 2005; and at Incolballet, Colombia, in 2006. He has also been involved on three occasions at the International Dance Festivals in Havana, Cuba (1998, 2004 and 2006), as well as a number of international dance galas. He trained at the former Municipal Dance School of Zaragoza under Cristina Miñana, graduating with Honours and Distinction. In 1992 he won the silver medal in the "Junior Solo" category at the 2nd International Dance Competition of Biarritz. He qualified in Classical Ballet at the Royal Professional Dance Conservatory of Madrid in 1997, earning a Distinction. In 2007 he obtained recognition from the Ministry of Education and Science of his teaching status for Higher Studies in Dance in the "Choreography and Performance Techniques" specialisation. He was a tutor at the Municipal School of Music and Dance of San Sebastian for three years, and has since the 2017/2018 academic year taught at Dantzerti.
