Biografía
(Santurtzi 1980) Gorka studied Dramatic Art, specialising in Stage Management, at the RESAD. His directorial training continued with Tamzin Townsend, José Tomé, Roth-Lange, Leo Martín and Paco Zarzoso. He worked as assistant director with Ana Zamora on "Triunfo de Amor". His works as director include "Una Dama Entre Bobos" premiered at ClasicOff 2015, “¿Hamlet es nombre o apellido?” premièred at the Surge 2016 festival, and also featured at ClasicOff 2016, racking up more than 50 performances. “Guateque 69” was performed at Surge 2017, ClasicOff 2017 and Almagro 2018, “Judy Garland y el gigante de Onix”, "Vuelo 15/40" and "Antón Martín o No Hay Más Mus". The author of a number of works for the theatre, he received the 2016 Donostia New Dramatists bursary. He has created the sound space, lighting design and staging for a number of his own shows. He studied performance at the Juan Antxieta School of Performing Arts, and at the EMAD in Madrid. He has undertaken a number of courses with Vicente Fuentes, Ernesto Arias, Ramón Fontserè, Tage Larsen (Odin Teatret), Pep Vila and Cal McCrystal. As an actor, he has worked at Pikor Teatro, at the CDN in “La comedia que nunca escribió Mihura”, at Vaiven Produciones in “Último Tren a Treblinka” and in various operas at the Teatro Real, Teatros del Canal and Teatro Arriaga. In television, he has worked on series including “Goenkale”, “Con el Culo al Aire”, “Qué Vida más Triste”, “Presunto Culpable” and “Ángeles y Demonios”, and on a number of TV movies.
